Deck Images ™ offers several colors options. Our railing systems come in two standard colors, several optional colors, and every custom color under the sun to match any color siding, window trim or even patio furniture.

Optional colors and standard colors cost the same price, the only difference is the lead times. Standard colors on standard parts will typically ship in 2-3 weeks. Optional colors on standard parts will typically ship in 3-4 weeks. If your deck has custom parts such as a custom stair angle typical lead times will increase to 4-6 weeks regardless of color.

Custom colors can take longer depending on the color. If we can find a color that matches your needs from one of our vendor's stock colors we will need to send you a color chip and have you sign off on the custom color. If your color does not match our vendor's stock colors we will need to do a custom blend. Custom blends can take up to 6 weeks to just get a color chip. Custom blends and custom stock colors will also increase the price of your railing system. Prices on custom colors vary with availability and color. Deck Images ™ offers two top rail profiles, round and square, and one bottom rail profile for both our welded picket railing system and our component glass railing system. The square top rail profile has an outside dimension of 2" and the round top rail profile has an outside dimension of 2-1/4".

The welded picket bottom rail profile is 9/16" tall by 1-1/4" wide and is typically set 3" off the deck surface. This will pass most building codes in most areas. The component bottom rail profile is 1-9/16" tall by 1-1/4" wide and is typically set 1-3/4" off the deck surface. This also will pass most building codes in most areas. There are several ways to close off or finish a Deck Images ™ railing system. The most common way is to use a standard end post with a standard post mount and use an end cap (Option 1). By ending your railing system this way there is no need for blocking on the building, all you need to do is attach the post to the deck surface.

Deck Images ™ can also tie your railing system into existing columns and building walls without posts (option 2). The parts used to do this are standard parts however the site conditions must allow for this. Deck Images ™ will require that blocking be put into the construction so that the top and bottom rail have something solid to attach to.

The other way to close off or finish a Deck Images ™ railing system is to use a combination of an end post and a wall mount (option 3). This is accomplished by putting an end post up next to the house and extending the top rail past the post and into a wall mount that is attached to solid blocking on the building.
